Byron Shaw Projex

The Jonez, Judge Roughneck. Recognized by the Rocky Mountain News as Denver’s Top Male Vocalist. Byron Shaw’s resume has garnered more than it’s fair share of notable line items. But his most impressive undertaking to date may be his solo effort, an eclectic exploration of dub, jazz, funk, hip hop and soul called the Byron Shaw Projex.
For this outing, Byron is joined by some of Denver’s finest: Kate Shoup on vocals, Chad Aman on keyboards, Kyle Jones on bass, Dave Flomberg on trombone, Zach Peidlock on drums, in addition to the frequent guest appearance of James Brown sideman Damon Wood on the guitar. The resulting collective is a dervish of soul-shaking groove; a funk junket through years and genres that drifts past only once in a lapin moon…all aboard!
