Elliott Moonshine & the Ghost

Formed in the summer of 2009, Elliott Moonshine and the Ghost is an effort to combine the dark side of Folk/Americana with strong melodies. It features:
Nicolas Busquet: Nicolas was born and raised in France and arrived in Denver in the spring of 2008. He’s been playing the guitar and singing for 15 years and also plays mandolin, banjo and ukulele, all with an accent. He writes most of the songs for Elliott Moonshine and the Ghost.
Tyler Garn: Tyler moved to Colorado six years ago from Michigan where he dabbled in various music projects. He plays keyboards, guitar, and attributes air pollution for his dusky singing style. Also a songwriter for the band.
Jefferson Fee (drums): Jefferson has been securely in the rhythm section for multiple bands. He also fancies himself a producer, having worked with everyone from rock to hip hop and even a barber shop quartet once or twice.
The band performs original material and is influenced by Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Johnny Cash, Bonnie Prince Billy, 16 Horsepower, Bob Dylan, but also Radiohead or George Harrison. Borrowing from bluegrass, folk, rock and blues, the music of Elliott Moonshine and the Ghost speaks of alcohol, social awkwardness and lost faith, and will appeal to hillbilly deviants as well as to alternative rock fans.
