The Birdwatchers

The Birdwatchers are from Denver, Colorado, and have been cranking their amps for two years.

Their Sound combines Vintage 1950’s rock melodies, Classic Country beats, & howlin’ Blues guitar. And they know a lot about Birds. Sally Belle, Pretty Sunshine, & Marion the Arian are just a few of the Bad Girls that The Birdwatchers have kept their bird’s eye on for awhile.

Dr. Beater has played Drums for the Denver bands Lyin’ Bitch and the Restraining Orders, Four, and The Familymen. In addition to many clubs and bars, the top venues he has played include Denver’s Ogden Theater (opening on New Year’s Eve for The Cramps), and The Bluebird Theater. His band, Four. was voted best Denver Band in Westword two years running.

Michael Vallee has been playing his rippin’ licks in bands for the last several years. As a member of Sweet Tea, The Red Dukes, and Work Release Program, he has performed at numerous venues throughout the metro and mountain areas. Mike’s career in music also includes a stint as a substitute guitar technician for The Doobie Brothers.

Hans Thompson has played bass for the Arizona bands Contraband, Turban Jones, and J Honky Mofo’. He has played at various venues, including the Loft in Phoenix and the French Quarter in Tucson. He has also played various casuals, including weddings, house parties, and the 1999 Arizona Judical Conference, of all places.

David S. likes playing in bars more than in his mother’s basement.
