I am a visual artist and newcomer to the word of digital video. Visual arts has opened up a whole new world for me. As a person I am very quiet and subdued, but as an artist, I have much to say. My art is a reflection of my personal experiences and the visual content I often use is intended to provoke an emotional response that can sometimes be uncomfortable to the audience. A reflection of the times we live in. As a working VJ, I provide an accompaniment to the main performance. If you are a band, dj, fashion designer, or producer, I can enhance your event through light, texture, and design. 50% content/50% projection design. Who wants to continually see a perfect rectangular tv screen of video on a blank wall over and over again? I like to focus on more than just content but the actual design of the surface fabric that the projections reflect on. I use layering and draping techniques with my projection screens that provides dimension and structure. I often use hexagonal shapes to “break out of the box”. My focus is to enhance the existing architecture of the event space through video installation. Collaborating with other vj’s is a great way to make a good thing even better.
