We Are Now Awake

We Are Now Awake is the brainchild of multi instrumentalist Keith Feighan. Feighan, a self taught musician, found himself afflicted with an extremely rare medical condition. Having not aged for the past fifteen years, Feighan was dealing with a very dark and unsettling lifestyle, which was defining who he was, and what he was becoming. As a coping mechanism for the condition that had taken control of his life, Feighan conceived of We Are Now Awake. He began to write a collection of thematic songs which eventually became the Imbalance, a dark concept album detailing his existence and the hell his life had become.

Feighan recruited his long time collaborator, Sean Luis Ferreiro to assist in the production of the album. Ferreiro’s expertise in electronic music production and synthesis was the perfect synergy for the compositions that Feighan had begun. Ferreiro’s ear for dark and twisted soundscapes, combined with his familiarity with Feighan’s eccentric behaviors made for a perfect addition to the project.

Together the duo have successfully crafted a unique and impressive sound which is rapidly creating internet buzz and developing a devoted fan base. WANA will be releasing their first full length album, The Imbalance in May 2008. They are currently assembling a live band, and are planning to begin touring in the late summer and/or early fall.

We truly appreciate all the support we have received thus far and cannot wait to release more material. Without you, we are nothing. We have laid dormant for ages, slept our lives away hiding from the world, but we are now awake.
